Independent patient coordination. Zero markup on your hospital bill. Not medical advice.

What to prepare before you travel

Hospitals can only give you a firm appointment and a cost estimate once they have seen your records.

  • Discharge summaries from every hospital stay in the past three years.
  • Pathology and biopsy reports, with the block or slide reference if you have it.
  • Imaging on disc or DICOM files — CT, MRI, PET — not screenshots.
  • The most recent laboratory results, including tumour markers if relevant.
  • A list of current medication with doses, including anything bought over the counter.
  • Your passport biographical page, so we can prepare the visa invitation letter.

Send records in your own language. We translate what the hospital needs, and you are not charged for translation of documents that are part of your estimate.

What happens after you request

Within 1 business day

Records reviewed

A coordinator acknowledges your request and a clinician checks whether the hospital is the right place for your case — before anything is submitted.

Business days 2–4

Hospital review

The international department reviews your files and confirms whether it will accept the referral, and which consultant will see you.

Business days 3–5

Written estimate

You receive an itemised cost range, an expected length of stay, and available appointment windows in writing.

On your approval

Booking and visa letter

We confirm the appointment, issue the invitation letter in 2–3 business days, and start on travel logistics.

Questions about this hospital

Can I choose my own surgeon?

You can request one, and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic. Senior consultants in high-demand departments are often booked weeks ahead, and some do not take international self-paying patients at all. When your named surgeon is not available, you get the alternative and their case volume, and you decide whether to wait or proceed.

How do I pay the hospital?

Directly, at the hospital's published international-department rate. Most hospitals accept international cards for the deposit and require bank transfer for the balance; a few can bill your insurer directly if your plan has a network agreement. We never hold your hospital money — our fee is invoiced separately.

Will the doctors speak English?

In the international department, usually yes — at least one clinician or case manager will. Outside it, less reliably. Your coordinator interprets at every appointment regardless, including during consent discussions, so nothing important depends on your Chinese.

Can I bring a companion?

Yes. Most hospitals allow one companion in the ward and in outpatient consultations. For longer stays we help arrange accommodation within walking distance, and we can add a companion to the visa invitation letter.

What if I need to cancel?

Appointments with international departments can usually be moved once at no cost with five working days' notice. Hospital deposits are governed by the hospital's own refund policy, which we give you in writing before you pay. Our service fee is refundable minus work already completed, as set out in our terms.
